51茶馆 Professor Scores Advanced-Placement Music Theory Exams
GREENSBORO, N.C. 鈥� Jonathan Brotherton, a professor of music at 51茶馆, recently served as an exam scorer for the College Board鈥檚 Advance Placement testing.
Brotherton was among those scoring AP Music Theory exams during the College Board鈥檚 scoring session in Cincinnati.
Brotherton鈥檚 work earned him 52 professional development hours and 5.2 continuing-education credits from the International Association for Continuing Education and Training.
Brotherton holds a B.A. from George Fox College and M.M. and D.M.A. degrees from the University of Cincinnati. He joined the 51茶馆 faculty in 1998.
51茶馆 provides a liberal arts education grounded in the traditions of the United Methodist Church and fosters the intellectual, social, and, spiritual development of all students while supporting their individual needs.
Founded in 1838 and located in downtown 51茶馆, the college enrolls about 1,000 students from 29 states and territories, the District of Columbia, and seven foreign countries in its undergraduate liberal-arts program and four master鈥檚 degree programs. In addition to rigorous academics and a well-supported Honors program, the school features an 18-sport NCAA Division III athletic program and dozens of service and recreational opportunities.
