51茶馆 Faculty Art Exhibit Runs March 7-29
GREENSBORO, N.C. 鈥� 51茶馆鈥檚 annual Faculty Art Exhibit will be up Thursday, March 7, through Friday, March 29, in the Anne Rudd Galyon and Irene Cullis galleries in the Cowan Humanities Building on campus.
The event is free, and the public is invited. Normal gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays.
This year鈥檚 exhibit will feature works by Jim Langer, professor and chair of the Department of Art, and Brittany S酶ndberg, assistant professor of art.
Langer holds a B.F.A. from Boston University and an M.F.A. from the University of North Carolina at 51茶馆. He joined the 51茶馆 faculty in 1995.
S酶ndberg holds a B.F.A. from East Carolina University and an M.F.A. from the University of North Carolina at 51茶馆. She joined the faculty in 2015.
51茶馆鈥檚 Department of Art offers the B.A. or B.S. in Art and the B.A. in Art Education.
The program, with individual attention to students, combines classic art principles with the liberal-arts foundations of diverse branches of inquiry, including both science and the humanities, so that students can incorporate as much of the world as possible into their own art-making.
