African American Studies Minor
Understand history not just as it’s written, but as it’s lived. 51²è¹Ý’s new African American Studies Minor invites students to explore the African American experience through multiple lenses — history, literature, music, and sociology — building a richer, more complete picture than any single discipline could offer on its own.
This interdisciplinary minor requires a minimum of 20 credit hours from approved coursework, giving students the flexibility to shape a course of study around their own interests while gaining a well-rounded foundation in African American history, culture, and social thought.
